The heads up for the cache had been given a while back by BTR who gave it a 5* rating. Therefore, it had been on the back of my mind for a couple of weeks until the owner started talking EarthCache to me. It seems that I actually speak EarthCache quite well, a talent picked up over the years resulting from the hammering of quite a few rocks (and other things as well). I’ll spare you the details but the owner made me a proposal that I could hardly refuse: a guided trip to GZ and on the way we could talk EarthCache to our hearts delight. And so it happened! As a result of the accompanying 7 and 13 year olds we set off at perhaps a slower pace than intended and snaked our way rather gingerly down the hill with the occasional dialect of EarthCache coming to the fore every now and then – A terrible flaw on my part but I think it’s genetic so the others had to grin and bear it.
The grey heavens had descended upon us for the trip and a white mist enveloped our group from the surrounding lithologies until we got to GZ and miraculously the mist lifted for a few minutes giving us some privileged views of the Aroeira and Ursa beaches as well as some fantastic geology.
The way back meant a stop on the beach for our arenophile to 
collect some beach sand and a few samples and we set off up the hill again with no incidents to report apart from a set of black sunglasses that stayed near ground zero (if anyone finds these I would like them back please) and the loss of a pin attached to the camera bag.
Thank you to Zé M., Cândida, Pedro, Fernando, Roger and Duarte for the excellent morning spent on this hunt. I’m glad that every now and then someone actually places a cache like caches should be placed (not just another one for the numbers). It gives me a little more impetus to continue in this mad hobby.
