Tools
Field Notes Upload
During one or several geocaching journeys you can record your founds (or not founds) in you GPS device/app, usually in offline mode. Those notes you're recording are the Field Notes. If you found it, you mark it as "Found", you detect a cache with the full logbook, you mark it with a "Needs Maintenance". You can also add "Notes" and other types of log depending on the used device/app.
When you end the geocaching journey you will have all the Field Notes available in your device/app in a file usually named "geocache_visits.txt" or "FieldNotes.txt", etc.
Note: To know how to access and use that file through your device/app you must check the respective user manual.
The files can be uploaded to the website, at , using the option Upload my Field Notes, and so you'll get all of them available and ready to be edited and submited one by one.
With the "Field Notes Upload" tool available in the "Geopt.org Geocaching Tools" app, it's possible to edit, parameter and customise yout field notes and aswell, if you wish, submit your online logs, completely autonomous and automaticaly at website.

Load the Field Notes file
Adding Logs manually
In the text field it's possible to use advanced edition parameters such as font size, color and type and even web adresses. For this option to be available you must have selected "Use Advanced Editor?". You can clean all the relevant technical text and formatting (if used) by pressing the "Clear" button.
This process can be used by all users without a field notes generator device, using this option to add the logs.
Note: If you have a field notes file to load, you can only add logs manually after loading the file. If you invert this process the manual added logs can be deleted in the loading file process.

Edit Logs
You can edit the logs by clicking "Edit" in the tool. This option can be used to change the log type, the text or even the date.
Delete Logs
If you wish to delete all logs click "Clear".
Customize Log

Logs customization is made using the fields available in the lower part of the screen and affects all logs in the grid:
- Prefix: Text, that can include several lines and paragraphs, to be add before the original Field Note text.
- Include Found Number?: Text indicating the geocacher Found #, added before the Log. Because the Logs # is made using the geocacher number of founds this field can be edited to allow loading field notes that don't follow the # order (ex: when you have field notes previously loaded).
- Include Date?: Text with the Log date to be add in the beggining of the Log, after the Found # (if chosen).
- Include Time?: Text with the Log date to be add in the beggining of the Log, after the Found # and date (if chosen).
- After...: Option that provides the indication to exclude Field Notes previously sent.
Note: Both date and time are calculated from the original field note file.
You can check the text and parameters included in the column "Log Text" after changing any of them and you can change them as many times as you wish.
Sufix and Prefix texts are recorded even after closing the app, so that you can use them when you wish. This can be usefull if you want to include a signature in the sufix for example.
To help editing the log a link for the cache listing is available and a column with the log type is presented.
Favorites
For each log in the grid you can choose if the cache is Favorite in the column "Favorites?". This option is only available if you wish to log online.
The tool provides two metods to upload the Field Notes to : as Field Notes or as an Online Log.

Bookmark Editor
Groundspeak Premiums Members know the Great advantage that is the use of Bookmark Lists. They can be useded to mark our top favourite caches or simply suggest some caches to our zone visitors. We can create lists of favourite caches and share them with our friends, or we can use it to plan the next Geocaching tour. Now, with the tool "Bookmark Editor" it became easier to edit any of our bookmarks, adding groups of caches to a list.

To add caches to a Bookmark you put the GC Code in the field "Cache codes", one after the other and separated by semicolon or one per line. You choose the Bookmark in the lower field where you can see a list of all your bookmarks. Then press "Process". The bookmark list is automatically actualized.
Coordinate Converter
Despite being a simple mathematical task, the coordinate conversion can by a headache, and a small mistake can put us in the wrong way to a cache. There can be no mistake in our latitudes and longitudes, we always need a conversion tool nearby and nothing better than have one in our favourite app.

In the field "Original Coordinates" by default are presented your "Home Coordinates" that you set on your Geocaching.com profile. It's in this field that you put the coordinates you wish to convert, on any valid coordinate format. Then press "Convert" and is showed the conversion in the four usual Geocaching.com coordinate format.
In the right side of the screen is shown a map where the converted coordinates are shown.
